I really don't see why he can't advertise. S-D isn't doing sigs right now so why not? Ppl come here expecting to be able to request stuff like that but when they can't, what you expect them to do?

If S-D were accepting sig requests, there would be a prob with advertising diff sig sites.

And once again, a reminder is needed that S-D is a business. I can understand how Sean is tired of seeing advertising in his forums for other places because he has put a lot of work into this business. But now that the business cannot provide a service in a certain area, do you expect ppl to continue coming here for products and service? When they come here expecting business and can't get it, what then?

Like I said, S-D is a business and needs to be run like one accordingly. I'm not bashing on you Sean. S-D has done great so far, but more dedicated designers are needed that can spend more time working here. Not trying to be a smartass, just wanting to help you out.

Perfectly understand what you said bud, we have no problems with that. The only thing is that if anyone wants to advertise their site, they should pay for advertising. What I mean is that, if a link to another site is posted here, that means we will give traffic/hits and possibly more members to that other site as a whole, not just because they do sigs. And in return of giving all those hits we get almost nothing. The reason that we have a paid advertising service is because for other sites to pay us and advertise for them, that payment will help me get some monthly bills of off my shoulder which I spend from my own pocket for this community (oh and patchy's pocket too, lol) .

There are a lot of other reasons, which I'm sure they are pretty obvious. We have also provided some areas in our site and our forums that the webmasters could add their link too, including our topsites/applying for affiliation/or simply posting and getting comments in website showcase area. They just don't seem to take advantage of it i guess.
