just something i thought i would suggest. sean i have been looking at some larger forums lately that use lots and lots of bandwidth that run up high bills. not saying S-D will have financial problems but this is just to keep in mind. they have a donations system, u can put credit on an acct then do various things with the money, for example, rename someones thread 5$, change someones name 5$ a day, lock a thread 10$ etc etc.

Good idea, I never had thought about that. Maybe lower the prices just a little bit though :P

Another idea is to make a points system (I think there's already one in place?) and with more posts you get more points, then you can also buy points (with real $$$) and be able to spend your points on locking threads and changing names and stuff like that

i like the point system, but the spam that would follow if u got the for posts would be ridiculous. (plus they just raped away all my posts.)

Anything can be exploited, but that's what mods are here to prevent heh heh heh...

Ya i think Seek Design still has a sweet point system, you can buy stuff like, a highlighted name, you can stick any thread for 2 days, and a bunch of other stuff

Yes actually I was planning to do all these things and you all should be able to see them very soon, I mean the point system where you can earn points by posting or starting threads, and spent those points on either closing threads, changing user titles, avatars, and things like that. The only thing about this system is that it may not help us beneficially, it might in a way, but the point of it is to make the system a better and more enjoyable system.

This will be posted in the announcements once released
